Glen
started diving with his Father at the age of 12. Every weekend
was spent diving the coast or making a once a month boat dive.
After meeting Truth Aquatics founder Roy Hauser on the original
Truth, Glen and his dad crossed paths with Roy after his boat
was lost at San Clemente Island in 1972. Roy asked Glen to
spend the summer with him helping with the construction of
the new Truth and after its launching Glen became a deckhand.
In 1979 he received his captain's license and in 1980 he moved
from Santa Barbara to Long Beach to oversee the construction
of the Conception. Fourteen months later the boat was launched
and Glen spent the next 3 years at sea running multi-day dive
trips to the Islands.
In 1984 he got off the Conception and went back to work in
a boatyard building
the Vision. He ran that boat full time for first year then
went part time on the boat and part time in the office. Today,
Glen spends most of his time managing the business and is
always available to answer correspondences. "It is the philosophy
of Truth Aquatics to provide the best Channel Islands Diving
and Hiking experience available. We take extremely good care
of each boat and hire only friendly knowledgeable crewman
to operate them."
